DAEJEON, 29 May (BelTA –Yonhap) - An explosion at a munitions factory sparked a fire that killed at least two people and seriously injured three others.
The accident happened at the Hanwha factory in the central city of Daejeon at 4:17 p.m.
Two workers were killed, and three others were taken to a hospital with burns all over their bodies.
A total of 29 firetrucks and 53 firefighters were mobilized to battle the blaze. After putting out the fire, firefighters were searching the scene, officials said.
"The fire has been put out now, and we've taken five workers to the hospital," a fire official said. "We're talking to factory officials to figure out the circumstances of the accident."
