MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – The organizers of the Miss Belarus 2018 beauty contest are preparing a high-quality European show. The final part of the contest will feature a great number of interesting technological tricks and directing decisions, BelTA learned from Ivan Podrez, Director of the Special Projects Directorate of the Belarusian TV channel ONT, on 12 April.
Ivan Podrez presented 30 finalists of the Miss Belarus 2018 beauty contest, who gathered in Minsk on 12 April to prepare for the final part of the contest, which is due on 4 May. In particular, the final show will be a genuine art performance featuring four elements: water, earth, fire, and air. Each will be associated with certain images meant to demonstrate Belarusian beauty. The show will give its due to the native land theme and to the forthcoming 2nd European Games. According to Ivan Podrez, everything will look beautiful and dazzling thanks to visual effects on the stage and unorthodox approaches on the part of the contest director.
The contestants will have to work hard meanwhile: daily rehearsals, photo sessions, master classes, fitting sessions, and work with stylists and stage directors.
Among the criteria for choosing Belarus' most beautiful girl Ivan Podrez mentioned the knowledge of history, the ability to speak foreign languages and formulate thoughts, and the ability to present herself. The girl should also possess totally special Belarusian energy.
Over 700 beauties have been cast as part of the Miss Belarus 2018 beauty contest, but only 30 girls made it to the final part.
Apart from the crown and the right to represent Belarus at international beauty contests the winner will get a cash prize to the tune of 500 base amounts and a Geely Atlas SUV. Runner-ups will get large cash prizes, too. Partners and sponsors will present gifts to winners of other nominations.
The national beauty contest has been organized by the TV channel ONT, the modeling school National Beauty School, and the Culture Ministry. The car manufacturer BelGee is the general partner of the project. Oriflame Company is the beauty partner. The official partners are the apparel manufacturer Conte, the lingerie producer Milavitsa, and the Gomel-based jewelry manufacturer Kristall.
