Minsk's Oktyabrsky District, Belgrade's Vozdovac sign agreement on cooperation

MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - The Oktyabrsky District of Minsk and the Vozdovac neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, have signed an agreement on cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk City Hall.

The official signing ceremony was held as part of the Minsk Days in Belgrade.

On 5 June Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets met with Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali and visited the urban transport company Belgrade. The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the supplies of Belarusian electric buses and interaction in tourism.

“We are happy to be here, in hospitable Belgrade. Today our cooperation is entering a new level. The fact that our relations are becoming more hamonious testifies to the fact,” Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets said.

The Minsk Days in Belgrade are taking place on 5-7 June. The program includes a tour of the city's biggest companies, a business forum with a presentation of the trade, economic and tourism potential of the capital.

In Q1 2017 Serbia made up into the top ten trade and economic partners of Minsk. The trade with the country soared 307% in January-March 2017 to total $33 million. Belarus exports tractors, motor vehicles, electric engines, refrigerators and other goods to Serbia.
