Minskaya subway station unveiled in Moscow

MOSCOW, 16 March (BelTA) – A new subway station Minskaya was inaugurated in Moscow. It became part of the new section of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Line, BelTA has learned.

The design of Minskaya station is built around the theme of military equipment which is exhibited at the Great Patriotic War museum near the station. Belarusian subway tunnelers took part in the construction.

The new section is over 7 kilometers long. Apart from Minskaya it comprises the stations Lomonosovsky Prospekt and Ramenki. The section continues the line from Delovoy Tsentr (Business Center) and Park Pobedy (Victory Park).

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin took part in the ceremony to open the new stations.
