MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – The Eurasian seminar on the integrated global observing system of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) will take place in Minsk on 12-14 September, BelTA learned from the website of the National Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Taking part in the seminar will be representatives of 13 countries responsible for the national meteorological observing systems. These are Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Participating in the seminar on Belarus' behalf will be permanent representative at the World Meteorological Organization, First Deputy Head of the National Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Maria Germenchuk.
