Minsk to host INTERPA Executive Board meeting on 3 October

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – The Academy at the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs will host the 15th meeting of the Executive Board of the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) on 3 October, BelTA learned form the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

The event will bring together the heads of law enforcement universities of Belarus, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Turkey. Representatives of Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (India) have been invited to attend as observers. Attending the meeting will be Prof. Yilmaz Colak, the President of INTERPA and Turkish National Police Academy. “The meeting will consider ways to improve the qualifications of the teaching staff in international training centers of the INTERPA member countries. The Academy at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus will also present modern teaching experience in educational activities,” the academy said.

INTERPA unites 72 police academies from 57 countries. The association has become a communication platform for promoting cooperation between police academies, sharing best practices in education and science. It was established in 2011. The Academy at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus joined INTERPA in the same year. Head of the academy Vladimir Bachyla was elected INTERPA Vice President in 2016.
