Minsk to host festival of Lithuanian culture 24 June

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – The festival of Lithuanian culture will be held near the Upper Town of Minsk on 24 June, BelTA learned from the Minsk City Hall.

The festival will be organized by the Minsk City Hall, the Belarusian Community of Lithuanians and the National Center of National Cultures.

The festival will feature master classes on arts and crafts such as woodcarving, amber decoration, felting and knitting. Taking part in the exhibition will be craftsmen from Lithuania and Belarus.

The concert program will feature Kaimynai folk choir (Paliuniskis), Minija song and dance ensemble (Gargzdai), Seluona folk ensemble (Zarasai). There will also be master classes on the Lithuanian traditional dance.

Visitors will be invited to sample Lithuanian dishes.

The event will be running from 12.00 till 18.00.
