Minsk to host Cyril and Methodius international readings on 22-26 May

MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – Minsk will play host to the 23rd Cyril and Methodius International Readings on 22-26 May, BelTA has learned from the official website of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.

This year the forum is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian and East European book printing. The readings are devoted to the topic “Religion and writing system as the factors that have formed the Slavic culture”.

According to the Christian Educational Center, the event will gather representatives of scientific and cultural communities, heads of scientific and educational establishments, teachers, post-graduates and students of state and theological educational institutions and also priests.

The forum is organized by the National Library of Belarus, Christian Educational Center of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Saints Methodius and Cyril Institute of Theology, the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, and the Minsk Theological Academy.
