Minsk to host Belarus-Russia festival of regional TV companies

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – The second edition of the festival of the regional television companies of Belarus and Russia will take place in Minsk on 15-16 September, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.

The program will feature creative meetings, roundtable discussions and master classes with famous foreign media figures, and sightseeing tours around Minsk.

Taking part in the event will be representatives of 17 regional television companies from Belarus and Russia. Among them are TV companies Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, Television Broadcasting Network (MKTV, Molodechno), Pinsk, Shklov TV Company, Bryanskaya Guberniya (Bryansk), Oblastnoye Televideniye (Yekaterinburg), Kaskad Media Group (Kaliningrad) and others.

A competition of regional TV projects will be held as part of the festival. Winners among more than 30 regional TV projects will be named on 16 September.

The festival is aimed at strengthening the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the information space of the Union State, attracting the attention of the regional TV companies of Belarus and Russia to the economic, social and humanitarian cooperation of the states, expanding professional creative contacts, supporting initiatives aimed at the development of patriotic and moral values, contributing to the enhancement of the educational and cultural function of the regional television.

The festival is organized by the Information Ministry of Belarus in cooperation with the National State TV and Radio Company, and the Institute of Journalism of the Belarusian State University.
