MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Minsk has been named the most popular CIS city for travelers during the May holidays, BelTA learned from the Russian booking website Tvil.ru.
The rating is based on the analysis of requests and reservations of hotels and apartments from 29 April to 10 May 2018 during the long spring weekends in Russia: from 29 April to 2 May, as well as on 5, 6, and 9 May.
The top five most popular cities include Minsk, Astana, Baku, Yerevan and Brest. The Belarusian capital also tops the five CIS and near abroad cities for Russian travelers during the New Year and 8 March holidays.
According to Tvil.ru, tourists book accommodation in Minsk at the beginning of the month for around 3,5 nights for the May holidays. They are projected to spend about RUB2,500 per day. In Brest the accommodation is cheaper, less than RUB2,000. It is the cheapest option among the top five popular cities.More about Society
