The City Day celebrations kicked off in the Belarusian capital with a flower ceremony at the Minsk Hero City Memorial on 13 September to go well into the weekend.
The program of entertainment near the Palace of Sports included competitions among firefighters-rescuers from Belarus and nine more countries.
The second day of the festival featured H.O.G. Rally Minsk 2019. Motorcyclists drove in column of almost 8,000 bikes from the Mound of Glory to the Minsk downtown. Visitors were treated to the performance of the rock band 7B and rapper ST, and also to a exhibition of arts and crafts, a children's town and food courts.
The international historical festival Ancient Minsk in a park along Pobeditelei Avenue and Masherova Avenue featured reenactment clubs from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States and China.
