Minsk Airport welcomes this year's millionth passenger

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – Minsk National Airport has welcomed its 2017 millionth passenger, BelTA learned from the press service of the airport.

“This morning, 28 April, Minsk National Airport welcomed its 2017 millionth passenger. He arrived on flight B2-736 Tbilisi-Minsk. In 2016 the airport celebrated its millionth passenger on 26 May,” the press service informed. In January-March 2017 the passenger traffic via the airport increased by 29.6% compared to the same period a year earlier.

The press service informed that Minsk National Airport celebrated its ever first millionth passenger on 25 December 2008.

Minsk National Airport is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport is home to the national air carrier Belavia and the cargo carriers Transaviaexport, Rubystar, and Genex. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
