MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) - MILEX is a wonderful platform for discussing the prospects of Belarus-Russia military and technical cooperation, Director of Russia's Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev told reporters on 21 May, BelTA informs.
Russia takes part in the exposition for the 8th time. This year the country is represented by 16 enterprises, including four subjects of the military and technical cooperation. “MILEX is a wonderful platform for synchronizing watches and discussing prospects,” Dmitry Shugayev said.
Speaking about concrete bilateral projects in the military industry, Chairman of the Belarusian State Military Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev remarked that there are such projects and they are mulled over at the level of organizations and enterprises. “These are mostly confidential issues, but they benefit both the Russian and Belarusian sides,” Sergei Gurulev said.
The international defense technology expo MILEX 2017 takes place in Minsk on 20-22 May. It has brought together almost 140 participants from Belarus, Germany, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
