GRODNO, 30 September (BelTA) – A large logistics hub will be opened near the border checkpoint Bruzgi in October, BelTA learned from Grodno Oblast Governor Vladimir Kravtsov on 30 September.
The project to build the logistics hub near the Belarusian-Polish border is nearly finished. The investor intends to commission the facility in October. It is a serious project that costs over Br30 million, said Vladimir Kravtsov. The logistics hub will be in the immediate vicinity of the border checkpoint. Among other things the hub will take care of customs clearance of the cargoes that enter Belarus.
The construction of another logistics hub near the Belarusian-Polish border checkpoint Berestovitsa is about to begin. The construction of a logistics hub near the Belarusian-Lithuanian border checkpoint Kamenny Log will begin in October. Both projects are supposed to be implemented in 2017, noted the Grodno Oblast Governor.
In addition to building the transport and logistics hub in the border checkpoint Berestovitsa an automobile bridge will be built to lessen traffic on the road leading into the border checkpoint and shorten queues. The new transport and logistics hubs are supposed to use technologies that will greatly expedite cargo clearance in the border checkpoints.
