MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – A luminous installation in the shape of a globe with the logo of the 2nd European Games will be placed in Minsk before the end of 2018, head of the industrial engineering department of Mingorsvet Company Vladlen Chukhin told BelTA.
“The new illuminated installation will have the European Games logo on both its sides. The fern, digits and letters of the logo will be lit-up too. The 4-meter globe will be placed on a base and will be moving. The composition will be erected not far from the Palace of Sports before the end of the year,” Vladlen Chukhin said.
The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in about 200 medal events in 15 sports. The forum is expected to welcome about 18,000 official participants. The competitions will be broadcast in 160 countries.
