Kazakhstan's delegation to visit Gomel Oblast 19-20 April

GOMEL, 19 April (BelTA) – An official delegation of Pavlodar Oblast, Kazakhstan will be led by head of the local government, Akim Bulat Bakauov, to Gomel Oblast on a visit on 19-20 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.

The delegation will comprise local officials, heads of companies and organizations. The guests from Kazakhstan will visit Zhlobin, Rogachev, and Gomel to see local industrial and agricultural companies, social facilities. Among them are Belarusian Steel Works, Rogachev Milk Canning Plant, Gomselmash, Spartak, Tikhinichi, Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble.

The program of the visit will include a meeting of representatives of Gomel Oblast and Pavlodar Oblast with the participation of the heads of the regions. The parties are expected to sign a bilateral document on cooperation between Gomel and Pavlodar, and also an agreement on cooperation between the free economic zones located within the two oblasts.

The agreement on cooperation between the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and the Akimat of Pavlodar Oblast was signed in 2016. In January-February 2017 the trade between the two regions totaled $1.4 million, including the export of $0.9 million. The main exports included milk and condensed cream, equipment for railway tracks, metalware, and dishware. Belarus imported ferrosilicon from Pavlodar Oblast.
