Kalinin: Belarus is tough on food safety

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - Belarus applies very stringent food safety requirements, Belarus' Vice Premier Anatoly Kalinin said in an interview with the ONT TV Channel, BelTA has learned.

When asked how Belarus learned to produce clean products in the Chernobyl-affected territories, Anatoly Kalinin noted that it was thanks to the modern technologies. “All our dairies, the meat processing industry, water-supply facilities are fitted with the cutting-edge radiological control equipment that help exercise the strictest control over the raw material coming from all the country,” Anatoly Kalinin noted.

According to the Vice Premier, domestic food companies strictly observe the production process requirements.
