International economic forum of young scientists opens in Minsk

MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – About 30 solutions and business projects have been presented at the tenth international economic forum of young scientists in Minsk, BelTA learned from Olga Morozevich, Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists at Belarusian State Economic University.

“The forum comprises an interactive exhibition which showcases 11 solutions and 16 business projects developed by young scientists. Belarusian State Technological University displayed solutions in 3D printing and robotics, the AdamasInvest company presented Belarusian synthetic diamonds. The exhibition also features Grandma's Garlic, a social project to make food buckets.

The forum's participants got familiarized with rare scientific editions from the president's library and visited a book exhibition of Novogrudok Trade and Economic College and Minsk Financial and Economic College. Another highlight was a panel discussion headlined “Science, business, and state: parallel development or a win-win strategy's implementation”. The forum has seen roundtable discussions dedicated to economic, organizational, and legal aspects of the national development.

The tenth international forum of young scientists will be running in the Belarusian capital from 22 to 24 September. The event has gathered over 60 young scientists and specialists from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. The forum is timed to the Year of Science in Belarus and is meant to encourage innovative youth, expand cooperation between science and business, and exchange professional experience.
