Huawei ready to take on board Belarusian Internet of Things innovations

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Huawei is ready to take on board Belarusian innovations in implementing the Internet of Things concept, BelTA learned from Bel Huawei Technologies Director General Pang Yong.

The Bel Huawei Technologies Director General said: “The Internet of Things is a large and very complicated ecosystem. To make it work, a lot of parties — vendors of information and communication solutions, companies, R&D institutions and so on — need to work together closely and make investments. By relying on cutting-edge technologies, Huawei will use innovations of Belarusian partners to create a better product and better solutions for the Internet of Things concept.” Pang Yong explained that he initiated the establishment of the working group to develop the concept during the TIBO expo in Minsk in April 2016.

Speaking about the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the world, the executive referred to several forecasts, which expect the number of connections between various Internet-enabled devices to approach 300 billion by 2020. “The future World Wide Web will offer capabilities for better implementation of the Internet of Things concept,” he said. “The concept has a number of parameters: a large number of connections but small data traffic, small power consumption, and high latency requirements. The conventional mobile network cannot satisfy all the requirements. But Huawei's IoT solutions will be able to,” Pang Yong was convinced.
