GOMEL, 22 November (BelTA) –Transport safety will be in the spotlight of the international scientific conference due at the Gomel-based Belarusian State University of Transport from 23 to 24 November, BelTA learned from the organizers of the forum.
The eighth edition of the conference will be dedicated to the Year of Science in Belarus. It will draw together the leading scientists and transport safety specialists from Belarus, China, Italy, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine. They will give reports in eight sections and discuss the safety of transport systems, passenger transportation, rolling stock, automation and communication systems, environmental and energy security, and many other topics.
“Transportation safety is a top priority for the whole transport system. Cooperation between scientists and specialists in many fields is required to achieve it. A close dialogue between science and manufacturers will help outline new approaches and find effective solutions to many pressing problems,” the organizers said.
A university science exhibition will be arranged on the opening day. Another highlight will be a presentation of electronic resources and academic databases “Rolling stock market” and “Industrial cargo. Rail freight transport market”. The forum participants will have an opportunity to learn more about modern education programs, innovative insurance systems, and other things.
The conference will be held with support of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry and Belarusian Railways.
