German-Latvian Open Skies Treaty flyby in Belarus, Russia scheduled

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – A German-Latvian mission will take part in an observation flight over Belarus and Russia, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

An observation flight on board of a SAAB-340 aircraft will be arranged for a joint mission of Germany and Latvia on 17-18 May as part of the Open Skies Treaty. The flight participants will be able to check on military activities in the observed countries, explained the source.
