Former Kyrgyzstan leader presents his memoirs in Minsk

MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Former Kyrgyzstan President Kurmanbek Bakiyev has held a presentation of his book “Pain, Love and Hope: My Kyrgyzstan” in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The annotation of the book says that the work is dedicated to the period of Kurmanbek Bakiyev's life when he was President of Kyrgyzstan (2005-2010). The book is intended for a wide readership.

Kurmanbek Bakiyev said he had started to write the book in November 2014. It was ready in summer 2015. As it was the period of the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan, the former president decided not to publish it immediately.

The book has been published in two languages: Russian and Kyrgyz. The book has been printed in Russia; the circulation is 2,000 copies. The book features the photos of Kurmanbek Bakiyev and other political figures of the post-Soviet states, China, Turkey, and the United States.
