MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – The first stage of the Belarusian-Russian exercise for logistics and support army units has ended, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry website.
During the first stage army units and logistics units practiced taking care of engineering aspects of staging areas, their camouflaging, protection, and defense. They also practiced repelling assaults staged by sabotage and reconnaissance forces of the imaginary enemy and deploying an automated bakery in the field. Providing airfield and engineering support for landing and takeoff of aircraft was practiced as well.
Army units and technical support units practiced preparing evacuation and repair teams for restoring weaponry and vehicles, for repairing malfunctioning (damaged) vehicles using the available repair base. They also practiced taking weaponry, military and special hardware from cold storage and preparing them for deployment in the active army. The readiness of mechanization solutions for loading and unloading operations was also tested.
Military administration bodies, army units, technical support units, and logistics command units moved on to the second stage of the exercise on 23 August.More about Society
