FAO Director General has plans to visit Belarus

MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – Director General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Jose Graziano da Silva has plans to visit Belarus. The matter was discussed during the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Italy, Permanent Representative to the FAO Yevgeny Shestakov who concludes his diplomatic mission and Director ad interim of the Cabinet of the FAO Director General Mario Lubetkin on 20 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the preparations for the visit of FAO Director General Jose Graziano da Silva to the Republic of Belarus, the press service said.

The parties also discussed current matters and promising areas of bilateral cooperation and praised the progress in the dialogue between Belarus and the FAO.
