WASHINGTON, 6 April (BelTA - Xinhua) - A F-16 fighter jet crashed outside Joint Base Andrews in the state of Maryland, while the pilot was ejected safely, U.S. media reported Wednesday.
The fighter jet is with the District of Columbia Air National Guard's 113th Fighter Wing, a spokesperson for the unit, Master Sergeant Craig Clapper, told ABC News.
The pilot has sustained minor injuries, according to the spokesperson.
The crashing site is not far from National Harbor, a business complex that consists of shopping and entertainment facilities.
The cause of the incident is yet unknown.
