Experts from Belarus, Slovakia to discuss innovative cancer treatment methods

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – Experts from Belarus and Slovakia are set to discuss joint efforts to develop innovative cancer treatment methods, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.

The first session of the Belarus-Slovakia commission for sci-tech cooperation will take place in Minsk on 25 September. “Experts will discuss interaction with organizations from the EU member states within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Initiative and the Horizon 2020 program, implementation of Belarus-Slovakia research projects, including projects to develop innovative high-tech methods of personalized diagnostics and treatment of cancer,” the State Science and Technology Committee informed.

There are plans to hold the first contest of joint sci-tech projects. The agenda of the session features eight points.

The commission will be co-chaired by Chairman of the Belarusian State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin and State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic Olga Nachtmannova.
