European School for Eastern Partnership opens in Georgia

MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – The European Union has opened the first European School for citizens from six Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) in Tbilisi, Georgia, TASS reported with reference to Chief EU Commission Spokesperson Margaritis Schinas.

According to him, the school has already enrolled the first 30 students.

The innovative academic program is focused on students aged 16-17 who will be able to enhance their knowledge about Europe and the EU while studying in the multicultural team. Young people will also have an opportunity to take part in diverse after-school activities and high-level conferences on EU affairs. On completing the program the students will have an international bachelor's degree in the EU research.

The Eastern Partnership is the EU program launched in 2009 to promote regional partnership with the six above-mentioned countries.
