MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The next session of the contact group on resolving the situation in Ukraine's east will take place in Minsk on 7 June, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik on 24 May.
Martin Sajdik said that during the meeting on 24 May they discussed protection and maintenance of civilian infrastructure among other things. Participants of the meeting welcomed the comprehensive approach to addressing ecological matters in the conflict zone. The subgroup on political affairs continued discussing matters concerning the so-called Steinmeier formula.
As far as humanitarian affairs are concerned, results of the efforts to implement a mechanism to verify the free expression of will of people detained due to the conflict were discussed in detail.
