Civil Protection University of Belarus' Emergencies Ministry gets EFSCA certificate

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Civil Protection University of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry has received a certificate of the European Fire Service Colleges' Association (EFSCA), BelTA learned from the ministry.

EFSCA unites the leading firefighter training schools in Europe. Educational institutions of 30 countries are its members. The association aims to unify the standards for the quality of firefighter training at different educational establishments, encourage exchange of experience among the member countries, and support the development of new training programs and technologies for emergency prevention and management.

Civil Protection University was established in accordance with the presidential decree of 19 August 2016 on the basis of three educational establishments of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry. The certificate attests to the university's membership in the European Fire Service Colleges' Association. The Command and Engineering Institute, Civil Protection University's predecessor, joined the association in 2009.
