CIS armies agree on next year's joint events

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – The committee of the chiefs of staffs of the armed forces of the CIS member states has agreed the joint events for the year 2018, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry website.

A regular session of the committee took place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 12 September. Belarus was represented by First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Belarusian army Sergei Kuprik.

Participants of the session discussed matters concerning the operation of the committee of the chiefs of staffs, in particular, interaction in military affairs. Results of multilateral military cooperation in 2017 were summed up. The joint events the CIS armies are supposed to arrange in 2018 were agreed.
