MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – Rector of the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University (BSPU) Alexander Zhuk has been elected Vice President of the Association of Rectors of Pedagogical Universities in Europe (ARPUE), BelTA learned from the BSPU website.
At the plenary session of the association at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University (Kiev), Alexander Zhuk delivered a report on the pedagogical master's degree training in the social and cultural space of Europe.
The association aims to promote pedagogical training in compliance with international standards and turn pedagogical universities into the leading educational, scientific, and cultural centers in Europe. Other objectives are to raise financial and material resources of government bodies, public organizations, academies of sciences, state-run enterprises and private firms for the improvement of the teaching training system, to establish and enhance international ties between pedagogical universities in Europe.
