MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – Bryansk will host the parliamentary hearings on the approximation of legislation on equal rights of citizens on 16 December. The matter was high on the agenda of a meeting of the commission on legislation and regulations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Minsk on 27 November, BelTA has learned.
The preparations for the hearings are almost completed, and they will be held in Bryansk on 16 December, chairman of the commission Artem Turov informed. Senior officials of some ministries and departments of Belarus and Russia, diplomats have confirmed their participation.
The proposal to hold the parliamentary hearings to discuss equal rights of citizens in the Union State was made by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin during the meeting of the 52nd session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Minsk this summer. The hearings will take place as part of the 53rd session of the Parliamentary Assembly in Bryansk.
