Bryansk to host Belarus-Russia Union State PA on 16-17 December

MOSCOW, 5 December (BelTA) – A session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will be held in Bryansk 16-17 December, BelTA learned from the PA press service.

The session is scheduled to adopt the budget of the Union State for 2018, make changes and amendments to the 2017 budget. The agenda also includes the priorities of further development of the Union State in 2018-2022.

Setting up the Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly is also on the agenda of the session. The idea of establishing this body was suggested during the 52nd session of the Parliamentary Assembly in June 2017 and supported by Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin. The MPs plan to approve the establishment of the youth organization

The session will also feature the parliamentary hearings on the approximation of Belarus and Russia on the issues of ensuring equal rights of citizens of the Union State. “Taking into account the views of the ministries concerned, the MPs plan to gather the materials to draft the concept of convergence of legislations of Belarus and Russia, which will include measures to address existing issues and identify promising areas of work in the field of ensuring equal rights of citizens,” the press service noted.
