BREST, 25 May (BelTA) – The 2018 Brest Bike Festival International will take place in Brest on 25-27 May, BelTA learnt from organizers of the event.
This event will be held in Brest for the 18th time already. Its geography is expanding every year. This time the festival will draw more than 10,000 people from all over Belarus. Bikers from other countries have also confirmed their participation. These countries include Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Czechia, Russia and Ukraine. “This year a 10-day visa-free regime has been introduced. Therefore, we expect a great number of foreign participants, first of all, from Poland. Besides, a great number of people from the Baltic Sea states got registered,” the organizers noted.
The participants of the festival will gather at the Orlyonok children's summer camp near Brest. The festival will kick off with a 6-hour concert. On 26 May bikers will take the road towards Brest.
They will ride in a column along M1 highway and finish at the Ice Palace in Brest where they will be welcomed by local residents. The public will be able to get familiar with different types of bikes, take part in contests, and attend a concert.
The 2018 Brest Bike Festival International has been organized by the Brest-based Golden Wing biking club, as well as the Brest Oblast Executive Committee and the Brest City Executive Committee.
