Braslav to host Sustainable Energy Week 2018 on 18-23 June

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – The Sustainable Energy Week 2018 will take place in Braslav on 18-23 June, BelTA learned from the Center for Environmental Solutions.

The Sustainable Energy Week will feature lectures, exhibitions, environmental campaigns and competitions that are designed to sharpen focus on climate change, renewable energy and energy conservation. “Every year the program of the event becomes more diverse and useful for local residents and environmentalists. For example, this time we will launch new interesting formats and hold important presentations. This year we will voice the strategy on reaching climate neutrality in Braslav District. International experts with many years of experience in the field were invited to participate,” coordinator of the project from the Center for Environmental Solutions Dmitry Buryonkin said.

The Sustainable Energy Week is arranged by the Braslav District Executive Committee and the Center for Environmental Solutions. It is part of the project “Braslav District – the first climate neutral municipality in Belarus” financed by the European Union. An Internet service “Questions about climate” will be available till the end of June. Local residents are invited to use this platform to contact the Braslav District Executive Committee and the Center for Environmental Solutions to ask questions about the project.
