MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – The Cuban Embassy in Minsk opened the Book of Condolences to honor leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, BelTA learned from the embassy.
The Book of Condolences will be available for signing from 28 November till 4 December. Messages can be left from 9.00 to 18.00 with a break between 13.00 to 15.00.
Fidel Castro died at the age of 90 on 25 November 2016.
Fidel Castro was a Cuban politician and revolutionary, born on 13 August 1926. He served as Chairman of Cuba's State Council and the Council of Ministers for 30 years from 1976. He was also Commander in Chief of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and Chairman of the country's Council of National Defense. Due to bad health he transferred his responsibilities to his brother Raul Castro on 31 July 2006.
