Bilingual book of poems by Maxim Bogdanovich donated to Belarus' National Library

MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – Sounds of My Motherland (Ecos de mi tierra), a book of poems by Maxim Bogdanovich in Belarusian and Spanish published in Spain, has been donated to the National Library of Belarus, BelTA learned from the library.

The project is a brainchild of Vera Kukhareva, director of the Spanish publishing house Ediciones Irreverentes she co-owns with her husband, Spanish writer Miguel Angel de Rus. A Belarusian native, Vera Kukhareva is a graduate of Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. She has been living in Spain for many years by now.

Poet Angela Espinosa Ruiz has done the Spanish translation of Maxim Bogdanovich's poems. This anthology is her first big translation project. The book features 30 poems from different time periods, historical materials on the life and legacy of the Belarusian poet. As few as 200 copies of the unique book by Maxim Bogdanovich have been printed.

Some of them have been donated to the National Library of Belarus.
