BelTA unveils Minsk and Minskers special project

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Belarusian News Agency BelTA has presented its special project Minsk and Minskers at the 21st international expo Mass Media in Belarus.

The project about the past and the present of the Belarusian capital is available at minsk950.belta.by./hisen.

BelTA's new project has sections History of Minsk and Honorary Citizens. It invites all interested to learn more about the history of the Belarusian capital and about the people whose life and work were connected with Minsk.

The Russian-language page of the project has another two sections. The Events section gives information about festivals and celebrations that will be held in the Belarusian capital in the coming months. The Compare Minsk section features old and recent photos of the city's famous streets and buildings.

The special project will be further updated with interesting facts and stories about Minsk and its residents.

The 21st international expo Mass Media in Belarus is running at 14 Pobeditelei Avenue in Minsk from 3 to 6 May. The event presents the history of mass media in Belarus with the help of the country's oldest periodical publications and displays cutting-edge communication technologies. It also showcases ways of distributing diverse and relevant high-quality information through all communication channels, first of all, by multimedia companies.

The expo is organized by the Belarusian Information Ministry and the National Exhibition Center Belexpo with the support of Minsk City Hall, the National TV and Radio Company, the Union of Publishers and Distributors of Printed Products, the House of Press, and the Belarusian Union of Journalists.
