MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian news agency BelTA has presented its new media project entitled as 500 Years of Belarusian Book Printing.

A video clip tells the story of the first books in Belarus, the development of the printing business, and the activity of well-known enlightener Francysk Skaryna and other great first printers.

The 500-second video takes its viewers on an exciting trip across many centuries of history by showing Polotsk of the late 15th century, telling about Skaryna's activity in Prague, the fate of the Radziwill Bible and first printing houses, and demonstrating the evolution of the technical progress in printing, from xylography to the present-day polygraphic machinery.

The video clip caters for a mainstream Internet audience and is made in two language versions: in Belarusian and Russian.

The media project is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfDigYXVTY0.
