Belarusian Zubrenok hosts children from 16 countries in 2018

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – The Zubrenok education and recuperation center hosted children from 16 countries in January-August 2018, director of the Zubrenok center Nadezhda Onufriyeva told BelTA.

“Our center welcomed children from 16 countries in January-August. They were here for recuperation. Now we are hosting cadets for the civic and patriotic shift that will last till 1 October. These are students of Belarusian and Russian cadet schools and military and patriotic classes of secondary education institutions: 252 students from each country. We expect children from Syria in January. Traditionally, we have kids from Russia, Lithuania, and Latvia. Azerbaijan has taken an active interest in the center lately. The other day we received representatives of a Chinese travel agency that intends to send children to our center for holidays. We are also in talks with France over holidays for French children,” Nadezhda Onufriyeva said.

The main task is to engage children, help them develop or discover their talents. “It is very important to have a comfortable environment so that every child should feel successful. Then they will want to come here again. We organize not just ordinary events. We try to get through to every child to bring out their talents. We do find a way to children's hearts," Nadezhda Onufriyeva noted.

Besides, about 10 young people were referred to universities by the center. They will work here after completing their pedagogical degree. “All of them came to the center as children to spend a holiday. Now they come here as part of student teams and want to work in the center. This is the result of our work,” Nadezhda Onufriyeva stressed.
