The First-Day-of-Issue dedication ceremony to mark Belarusian Written Language Day in Polotsk took place on 3 September. Attending the ceremony was Belarus' Vice Premier Vasily Zharko, Information Minister Lilia Ananich, and First Deputy Communications and Informatization Minister Dmitry Shedko

The 25th addition of Belarusian Written Language Day will take place in the town of Ivanovo, Brest Oblast in 2018. The ceremony to pass the baton to Ivanovo as the next host of the Belarusian Written Language Day took place in Polotsk on 3 September
