Belarusian University of Informatics and Radioelectronics 2nd in BSUIR Open programming contest

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Belarusian SUIR #2, a team of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR), took second place in the international programming contest BSUIR Open, BelTA learned from the university's press service.

The university hosted the final of the largest programming competition in Belarus. The 2018 winner is AllSubmissionsMatter, a team from Vilnius University.

The eight installment of BSUIR Open brought together 373 teams from 12 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Romania, and Brazil. Forty-two teams made it to the final. BSUIR Open programming contest is held in line with ACM rules.

This year's edition of BSUIR Open was organized under the aegis of the Belarusian Education Ministry in cooperation with such IT companies as IBA Group, Yandex, Oulix Systems, Altoros Development, and also Aimatter founder and Maps.me co-founder Yuri Melnichek.
