Belarusian State University to take part in Hi-Tech 2018 expo in St Petersburg

MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – Belarusian State University will present around 30 scientific and technological solutions at the 23rd international exhibition-congress “High Technologies. Innovations. Investments” (Hi-Tech 2018) from 20 to 22 March during the St Petersburg Technical Fair, BelTA learned from the university's press service.

The Belarusian exhibition features scientific innovations in the field of instrumentation engineering, polyurethane foam production, agriculture, pharmaceutics, water purification, functional and composite coatings. In particular, it will exhibit an innovative technology to make vitamins and minerals for baked goods and extruded food products with high nutrition and biological value for pregnant and nursing women, and also low-sodium phyto salt “Universum”.

The Research Institute of Physical and Chemical Problems of Belarusian State University will present an ultra-black surface coating technology for components of optoelectronic devices used in aerospace industry. The equipment is designed to treat widespread and generalized forms of cancer by means of hyperthermia sessions.

The Sevchenko Research Institute of Applied Physical Problems of Belarusian State University has sent several developments to St Petersburg: “Dozing robot with a 3D manipulator”, “Automated radiation monitoring system for the BelNPP zone”, “High-stable nuclear density gauge of sheet materials LEB-1BASR” and others.

Hi-Tech 2018 is meant to encourage organizations working in innovative technology, identify promising innovative projects and developments, and promote them on the market. Belarusian State University will present 18 scientific innovations at the competition.

The Belarusian school has been participating in the St Petersburg Technical Fair since 2005.
