Belarusian, Serbian book publishers aim for closer contacts

MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarusian and Serbian book publishers intend to establish tighter contacts. The plans were discussed when Belarusian Information Minister Lilia Ananich met with founders of the 61st International Belgrade Book Fair, BelTA has learned.

Tighter contacts between Belarusian and Serbian book publishers were discussed. It is possible that in the next few years Serbia will become a guest of honor at the Minsk International Book Fair.

Lilia Ananich noted that in the future the Belarusian side would like to reserve larger exhibition space in Belgrade. Later on Belarus is ready to act as a guest of honor during the International Belgrade Book Fair and would like Serbian books to be better represented in Belarus.

The 61st International Belgrade Book Fair is scheduled for 23-25 October. The book forum gathered visitors and participants from dozens of countries. Iran is a guest of honor this year.
