Belarusian People's Congress delegates receive more than 70 telegrams

MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – Over 70 telegrams from more than 30 countries with congratulations and good wishes have been received by the delegates to the 5th Belarusian People's Congress, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at the 5th Belarusian People's Congress on 23 June, BelTA has learned.

The welcoming telegrams note that such a forum guarantees the Belarusian citizens the right to take part in the decision making both directly and through representatives of their regions, Vladimir Andreichenko stated.

“The foreign telegrams stress that the country's successes in its social and economic development is, first of all, the achievement of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the people with its active civil position,” the speaker said.

In his words, residents of Belarusian cities especially praised the part that was related to the system of social security for vulnerable categories of people, disabled people, war and labor veterans and expressed gratitude to the head of state for the care.

Vladimir Andreichenko stated that among the mail was also a telegram of welcome from Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko. On behalf of the Federation Council she greeted the delegates and guests of the Belarusian People's Congress. In her opinion, such meetings reflect the most important milestones in the development of the Belarusian state, testify to the peacefulness of its people, respect to its historical traditions and commitment to creation.
