Belarusian opera singers to perform in France

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – Belarusian opera singers will open new theater seasons in some of the biggest theaters of France, BelTA has learned from the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus.

The French cities of Rennes, Angers and Nantes will open their theater seasons with Russian operas: Aleko by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Iolanta by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The leading soloists of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus were invited to perform in these productions. Guest appearance will be made by People's Artists of Belarus Anastasia Moskvina and Vladimir Petrov, Merited Artists of Belarus Andrei Valenty and Vladimir Gromov and laureates of international contests Irina Kuchinskaya, Natalia Akinina, Ilya Silchukov, Viktor Mendelev and Alexander Gelakh. The Brittany Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by maestro Andrei Galanov.

The concert tour is scheduled for 20 September-8 October.
