Belarusian innovations presented in United States

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Miami, U.S. hosted the eMerge Americas international technology conference on 12 and 13 June. A pavilion with innovative solutions of Belarusian companies and enterprises was organized at the conference for the first time, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The pavilion showcased hi-tech and knowledge-intensive solutions and projects of the National Academy of Sciences, Belarusian State University, the Hi-Tech Park, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and Belarusian National Technical University. A Belarusian delegation led by Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin took part in the events held as part of the conference.

Members of the Belarusian delegation held a presentation of the national pavilion, and had meetings with the participants and visitors to the conference.

On 14 and 15 June, the delegation will visit the largest universities in Florida, including the University of Miami, Nova Southeastern University, and Florida International University, and have meetings to discuss matters related to the implementation of joint projects. Miami-Dade County's official economic development partnership The Beacon Council will host a roundtable that will highlight Belarus' innovative potential.

The Belarusian delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives of the local administration, business associations and companies of Fort Lauderdale and Coral Gables.

eMerge Americas is a major rapidly growing global event in the field of high technology. It brings together industry leaders, investors, businessmen, and innovators of the Americas and the world who come to discuss advanced technology.

The fourth edition of the annual conference was held in the Greater Miami Area widely known as a major technology hub of the United States and a gateway to the countries of Latin America. The conference is sponsored by the leading U.S. corporations and transnational companies.
