Belarusian Culture Days begin in Vietnam with magnificent art performance

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Culture Days in Vietnam began with an impressive performance by Belarusian artists in Hanoi, representatives of the Belarusian Culture Ministry told BelTA.

Taking part in the concert were the State Dance Company of Belarus, the artist Anatoly Taras, and Victoria Aleshko, a soloist of the Youth Variety Theater, an Honored Artist of Belarus. An exhibition Rays of Inspiration by the painter Vasily Yasyuk and an exposition Belarus and Belarusians by the National History Museum opened in the Vietnamese center for art and culture exhibitions.

During the opening ceremony Belarusian Deputy Culture Minister Vasily Chernik noted that the advancement of Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation was invigorated in the last few years. Despite the geographical distance the countries regularly find new ways for mutually beneficial cooperation. Belarus-Vietnam cultural ties grow stronger, too. Year after year the good traditions are filled with new content in the form of genuine cultural projects.

On 25 May Vasily Chernik also met with Vietnamese Deputy Culture Minister Vuong Duy Bien. The sides discussed cooperation between museums and libraries, education institutions and the organization of exchange tours for theater troupes. Implementation of other joint projects in the sphere of culture and arts was also discussed.

The Belarusian Culture Days will continue in Vietnam's Lao Cai Province on 26 May.

Reciprocal Vietnamese Culture Days are supposed to take place in Belarus in 2018.
