MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – The data processing center of Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud) has received Tier III certification from Uptime Institute (UI) in the category Constructed Facility, BelTA learned from the beCloud press service.
UI and beCloud engineers ran over 30 tests. They examined the engineering systems of the data processing center, including its power supply system, the cooling equipment, and the fuel supply infrastructure. During the first testing stage, the specialists assessed the operational sustainability of the systems when switched from municipal power supplies to energy from diesel generator sets. After that they tested their ability to handle critical loads.
The data processing center was recognized as fully compliant with the design concept which was previously awarded Tier III certification. Uptime Institute specialists praised the quality of the construction works on the site of the data processing canter.
The beCloud data processing center is the only data center in Belarus to have Tier III certification for both design and constructed facility. The certificates attest that the data center meets the highest safety and security standards.
The Belarusian data processing center is one of the most powerful data centers in Eastern Europe. It sits on a 42,000-square-meter site and is expected to eventually occupy up to 120,000 square meters. It was built at a record pace. The construction works were finished within seven months.
