Belarusian aircraft repair plant signs cooperation agreement with Russian aircraft maker

MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – The Baranovichi-based 558 Aircraft Repair Plant has signed an agreement on cooperation with regard to third countries with the Russian company United Aircraft Corporation, BelTA learned from the website of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus.

The agreement was signed during the international air show MAKS 2017, which is scheduled to take place in the airfield of the M. M. Gromov Flight Research Institute in the city of Zhukovsky, Moscow Oblast on 18-23 July.

The agreement determines the basic principles of long-term cooperation between the Belarusian and Russian companies in work on third-country markets in the area of routine repairs and capital repairs, maintenance, and modernization of aircraft made by the Russian company, including components, ground support equipment, ground control equipment, and tools.

Cooperation between 558 Aircraft Repair Plant and United Aircraft Corporation will be based on strategic partnership terms. The sides will have to take into account mutual interests in relations between each other and in relations with third parties. The sides will have to notify each other about contacts with operators of Russian aircraft from third countries for the sake of working out a united stance on maintenance, repairs, and modernization.
